Junior Consultant

This job role is best suited to a graduate or those looking for a career change with the drive and the ambition to become a key member of the management team within the first two years. The ability to research, understand data trends, allow for inherent limitations, and create actionable output is a vital part of the job. You will rapidly become familiar with industry frameworks such as ISO 140001 environmental management systems, the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, Science Based Targets Initiative and other standards such as PAS 2060, the Carbon Neutral standard.
2. Role Specification
As part of our consultancy team, you will be involved in delivering client services and associated products, thereby contributing to the growth of the business:
Services will include
- Carbon footprints and carbon reduction plans
- Developing and delivering Net Zero corporate strategies
- Developing and maintaining environment and carbon products and services
for our clients - Energy services such as energy efficiency and renewable energy audits,
energy efficiency projects implementation and ESOS compliance - Delivery of environmental life cycle assessments
- Supply chain sustainability strategy and associated tools
- Developing and maintaining environmental and energy management systems such as ISO 14001, 50001
- Researching and securing high quality carbon offsets for our clients
- You will also get involved in account management and selling these services
and products to clients. - Project management of the clients and activities assigned to you.
- As an organisation we identify barriers to decarbonisation facing our clients.
From these, we develop new products and services using ingenuity and first
principles.
- Supporting the wider team with administration and marketing.
3. Candidate Requirements
Ideally you will have some carbon/energy experience such as energy or waste audits or behavioural change. However, we are more focussed on the qualities, enthusiasm and diversity of thought you will bring to the team.

Qualifications & Experience Skills / Knowledge
- You will have a Bachelor’s degree – ideally in an Environmental Science or Physical science (Physics, Chemistry), Engineering or Maths-based subject
- A good understanding around climate change and the link to greenhouse gas emissions
- Full driving licence
- Good customer facing skills
4. Details
Job Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £20,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Yearly bonus

- Access to electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme (after 12 months)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 35 hours per week. One afternoon off per week.
The candidate should be based within 1 hour travel of Cheltenham and will be expected to visit the office regularly while getting up to speed.
